MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN Greetings, everyone Something that I find both fundamental and interesting about photography is the different interpretations each one of us brings to any given subject. Fortunately we are all different – with different backgrounds, different experiences, and different points of view – and these differences make for a wonderful variety of […]
MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN’S SIDEKICK Greetings, everyone I hope this newsletter finds you all well and motivated to take great photos and learn at a fantastic pace during the coming year. As you can see, the letter this time round is from me, as Geoff is still recovering from a serious bout of COVID and, […]
Message from the chairman This year Ceridwyn and I have had the pleasure of attending the JAP course, its official title is the Western Cape Judging Accreditation Programme. It is superbly run by Nicol and Trudi du Toit and Lynn Kruger-Haye. Every month we study a different genre in photography (that by the way is […]
MESSAGE FROM YOUR CHAIRMAN I am writing this article the morning after Interclub – just to make sure everything was fresh in my memory. Overall I think we did very well – coming 4th this year – which, if my poor memory serves me – is better than last year. The final scores were: 1. […]

I am sure all the travellers among us are champing at the bit to get out there and bring home some more award-winning photos. Not to forget our Swallows, who never thought they would be away from Africa for […]

This was hosted last year by Durbanville Fotografieklub who were highly successful in managing the event under very trying circumstances (enter The Dreaded Lurgi). It is scheduled to take place on Friday 29 October and the good news is that it […]

From the outset, let me categorically state that I am in no way employed by Adobe, nor do I derive any remuneration in any form from them. This missive is directed at both converts and non-converts, as I […]
